  11. I keep receiving the "bad CRC" messages whenever I try to download some files
  12. from a Unix workstation (Sun Sparc 20).  The modem (Motorola v3400) stops
  13. receiving data for 10 sec right after the "bad CRC", and it starts again.
  14. I have no idea which component(s) causes this problem but I really hope this is
  15. correctable.  Here is the configuration of remote/local site...

  17. Remote: Sun Sparc 20 (using sz command), the modem pools consist either
  18.         USR Sportstor or MutiTech...
  19.  
  20. Local: 486/33 clone with Motorola v3400 modem and a serial card w/o 16650 
  21.        UART chip and Telix 3.22.

  23. The problem is when I issue ....

  25. sz *  <------ Lots bad CRC/subdatapack too long....
  26. sz -w 2048 * <---- fewer bad CRC (the -w is for window size)

  28. I don't this is the hardware problem but I'm sure....
